I recorded a studio session using two cameras. In editing I was looking at both views at once through multi-camera mode in the editing software, intuitively switching between them as the movement unfolded. The cuts are thus made through feeling myself dancing, dancing with my image on the screen.
A two-camera edit using simultaneous footage from a static wide cam and a handheld GoPro. I was using the GoPro as an extra-sensory device, a place from which to move by scanning my body.
This step of editing is crucial. It is how I come to understand my own movement in a choreographic sense. It is a generative analysis.
