Keeping a diary

Reflexivity with regard to research methodology: I feel that I need this private document to collect my thoughts such as they are, unpolished and uncommitted. If I were to post directly into a blog, I think there would be a lot that would slip through the cracks, perhaps even the most important insights – important findings often have pretty poor grounding initially. I do think it will be a good idea to translate all of these notes onto a web platform. The extra step of translation should bring a deeper understanding on my own part of what I have been doing and how it all connects and how it could be useful to others.

(P.S. I am now publishing my notes pretty much how I wrote them. Some minor edits for clarity. Maybe I just didn’t have the guts to post straight to a blog. Maybe it really would have inhibited me, or kept me from writing.)
